Meet Me

Catt Robinson / Catriona Armor LCPH RHom

03 Ravinder Crone Photographer-HeadShots-Vital Remedy-PrintHi, Thank you so much for visiting my webpage.  I’m Catt Robinson (previously known as Catriona Armor or “Catrina”, the bane of my life has been correcting the pronunciation..hence why changing back to my maiden name) founder of Vital Remedy, a registered Homeopath & Health Coach, Reiki and Crystal Practitioner, practising in the Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard and Aylesbury area.

I’m 40 (I was in denial but now absolutely love it) and a single mum of a 19 and 16 year old.  I’ve been blessed with a great life, but like most people, I’ve had my fair share of challenges!

I’ve been through financial blips, a period of sadness and depression, stayed in a job I hated, supported loved ones with health issues, lost loved ones, built a few conventional businesses, separated from my husband, had plenty of hormonal issues, been addicted to medication and had my heart broken…..

BUT… I’ve come out the other side and now I get to do what I love, my passion is helping and inspiring others, in particular women, to make the changes they need to feel healthier, more grounded, excited and confident about their lives.

I’m not a “crazy health freak” I do go to the gym and try to eat healthy but I enjoy a good cup of coffee, I have the occassional “girls night” with a few cocktails and Prosecco thrown in, I still need “therapeutic” chocolate and I absolutely love cake! I believe that being healthy is all about balance and doesn’t mean you have to give up everything you love!

How did Homeopathy help me?

Thankfully I wasn’t a sick child, however like most kids, I was brought up with conventional medicine, taking antibiotics occasionally, vaccinations, pain killers and later the hormonal pill.

My passion for natural medicine and Homeopathy started in 1997. I was 21 and a first time Mum, my baby daughter had a bad reaction to her vaccinations and my GP and the local hospital failed to help or support us.  I was desperate for a solution to her illness, and turned to alternative medicine where I came across Homeopathy.  I had used Arnica as a homeopathic remedy for bumps and bruises but other than that knew nothing.

From that day forward, apart from a small blip and emotional rollercoaster during my early 30’s, I haven’t looked back.  I gave birth to my son completely naturally with no conventional drugs, using Homeopathic remedies and hypnosis techniques.   My daughter has not seen her GP since she was one year old.  As a family, healthy food choices, herbs, homeopathic remedies, flower essences and “time out” help us to recover quickly from acute illnesses and stressful situations.

How did I become a Homeopath and Health Coach?

It began after the death of my Dad.  I’d spent three weeks in the hospital helping to care for him and improve the quality of the last few weeks of his life.  After he died, I just felt that I needed a change of direction!  Maybe it was an early mid-life crisis, grief or the realisation that “life is too short”.  I was running a successful business, had a lovely home, a husband and 2 happy children, but I felt a bit “lost”… I was struggling with my own health after a bad car crash and didn’t feel full-filled in my life.  I woke up one day and made the decision that now was the time to pursue my interest in Homeopathy, health and wellbeing.

I trained with the College of Practical Homeopathy in London for four years.  My training was intense including not only Homeopathy but also a good grounding in anatomy, physiology and pathology, herbal tinctures, nutrition, naturopathy, flower essences and lifestyle advice.  It’s this knowledge which enables me to get to the root cause of my clients’ problems.  I can then tailor their treatment plans according to each individual’s needs.  Because I use a holistic approach and consider every element of physical and emotional wellbeing, I’ve been described as a health detective and some of my best friends even call me a witch!

Who are my typical clients?

With six years clinical experience working in homeopathic clinics in London, Market Harborough, Milton Keynes and Leighton Buzzard, I have treated clients – both adults and children – with a wide range of health problems, physical and emotional – as well as treating people who are dependent on their prescribed medication.

I’ve had consultations with people suffering with acute illnesses such as chicken pox, ear infections and tonsillitis.  From children with behaviour problemsexam stress and skin conditions, to adults with longer term conditions such as diabetes, eating disorders, rheumatoid arthritisfemale hormonal problems, insomniathyroid and weight issues.

My personal life experiences enable me to relate very easily to clients who may have suffered emotional trauma or be suffering from grief, depression, stress or an addiction.

As a business woman and a single mum, I know the pressures of juggling work and taking care of a home and children.  It’s a situation which echoes the experience of many of the female clients who consult me about their and their children’s wellbeing.  My passion is working with women who are struggling with their life and who don’t feel in control of their health or hormones.
